Ouidish began one chilly August morning in a small, dimly lit kitchen in Raleigh, NC. Fed up with how tedious and terrible it was to clean her residue-crusted glass pieces, our founder knew there had to be an easier way to achieve a better clean. And she was right. True to her chaotic nature, our founder crafted a working lab notebook stuffed to the brim with sticky notes full of weeks of formulation, documented rigorous testing, and literary research.

It all began with an idea. HerbaShine’s formula is based on a skin-safe adhesive remover our founder made to help a friend remove her diabetic monitoring sensor after being told how painful it was to remove from skin. After refining and revising the formula for an entirely different purpose, HerbaShine was born.

The Grandmother of our founder drilled one simple life principal into her throughout the years:

“Money is meant to be used for the good of others.”

We believe in uplifting our communities to help them shine. That’s why a percentage of our profit goes to funding our biggest dream yet; the AMPlify Initiative. This fund is used to distribute aid at a local level to help provide relief to members in our communities experiencing hardships. We put together ‘Perpetual Camping Kits’, complete with camping guides, blankets, socks, sunscreen, toiletries, snacks, and hammocks, to distribute to people experiencing homelessness throughout the NC Triad. We also hope to establish the Stuart Little Grant which will be used by local animal shelters to help cover the cost of adoption for senior pets, and help with unexpected vet bills for their adopters. The Stuart Little Grant was created in honor of our founder’s late senior dog, lovingly nicknamed ‘Stu’, who was instrumental in supporting our founder during the formation and birth of Ouidish.
